Coolum hosts festive Christmas Carols with crowds singing the night away.

Is it really Christmas without a night of festive singing? On Sunday, December 18 a huge crowd gathered in Coolum’s Jack Morgan Park for the inaugural Coolum Christmas Carols which ran from 3 pm until the early evening. The evening featured a huge array of singers and performers who got the whole crowd singing and there were also market stalls and children’s activities present. Families including the Shelton and McLean families (pictured) attended and had a great night and of course, Santa made an appearance! The carols were hosted by Coolum Business and Tourism and will now become a regular fixture on the festive calendar. Photo: Driftwood Photography.

After two years of cancelled or delayed Christmas events, Coolum families came out in force on Sunday to enjoy an afternoon and evening of carols, entertainment, food trucks, and market stalls, proudly organised for the community by Coolum Business & Tourism.

The weather was perfect for locals and visitors to the region to throw out a picnic rug on the lawn at Jack Morgan Park, relax together and soak up the magic of the festive season. The arrival of Surfie Santa delighted the kids, with a spectacular laser light show closing out the evening. A great way to kick off Christmas week in Coolum!
