It was a weekend of near-perfect conditions as Coolum Beach played host to Event One of the Woolworths Queensland Junior Titles with the event wrapping up on Sunday, June 2. Queensland’s best junior surfers brought the heat for the event with the champions decided in excellent conditions with offshore winds and fun 3-foot surf. Coolum Boardriders were well represented with President Gav stating it was great viewing across the weekend. “We did really well and had a large representation of kids and two went to the finals with Brisa Canina (pictured) placing third in the Under 16 Girls and Hayden Danswan coming in fourth in the Under 16 Boys.” Junior competitors will now head to the Gold Coast on the June 24-25 weekend, and their results from the two competitions will be added together to determine the overall series winners and State Champions.
