LOCAL girls Sienna Potter, Indi Tan and Eva Hallam who are all members of the Coolum Beach Pony Club and are in year 9 at Coolum State High School successfully competed at the Fraser Coast Interschool Equestrian Competition held at Maryborough recently.

The team were highly successful during their time at the competition and on the first day at the grand parade they proudly won the 2022 Fraser Coast Interschool Equestrian ‘Best Presented’ trophy with their horses, Thorn, Leo, and Loki.

There was approximately 50 schools competing and this is the first time Coolum State High School has had an equine team in the competition.

The girls competed amazingly well over the four days, winning numerous ribbons in all their classes, and demonstrated brilliant versatile equine sportsmanship and were happy to cheer the other competitors on. Sienna and her horse Thorn won overall ‘Reserve Champion’ for year 9.

The team and support staff were very honoured to have represented Coolum State High School at the prestigious event and look forward to competing next year.
