Grand champs for Coolum High cheerleading academy

It was a big weekend for members of the Coolum High Cheerleading Academy who took part in the huge ‘Cheerbrandz Eutopia Competition’ in Brisbane. Cheerleading has become huge and is the fastest growing sport in the world, and it combines trust, fitness, dance, positivity, and empowerment. Coolum High has a very successful Cheerleading Academy which sees students guided under the direction of Marcoola-based ‘Ausfunk’ across all ages. The students train each Wednesday before school from 6.45am and then get a bus to school.  

Under the guidance and tuition of Ms Jasmine Angel and Ms Hayley Green and with choreography by Jada Green the squad ‘Hit Zero’ over the weekend which meant they had zero deductions – a perfect routine in the ‘Scholastic’ division and were crowned Grand Champions.  Several other Coolum High students also competed at the weekend event in both cheerleading and dance and had great success.
