Cool Autumn colours return to Coolum

Photo: Kerry Mulgrew

Just like that the seasons have literally turned, and autumn is well and truly here with some cooler mornings and gorgeous sunsets and sunrises gracing us – just like this one taken by local photographer Kerry Mulgrew, AKA ‘Kezign’. Kerry took this pic on Saturday morning April 30 at the south end of Coolum Main Beach. With quite a few recent long weekends the local beaches have been busy with many waking to take in the sunrises, and we recommend getting up early and taking yourself down to the shore sometime soon to check out how pretty our region is in autumn – about 5.45am will be the right time! Kerry has titled this photo ‘Dawn Breaking’ as it was taken at that exact moment when the rich gold of the dawn breaks and gives way to the approaching sun. Kerry has her new website kezignphotography.com.au launching at the end of May where her stunning prints will be available for easy purchase. Until then you can always keep up to date with Kerry’s photography (she posts most days) at Face Book – ‘Kezign’.
