Local Australia Day Award recipients will be permanently recognised with a commemorative plaque unveiled in their honour in the office foyer of State MP for Ninderry Dan Purdie. The plaque was arranged by both Mr Purdie and the Coolum Beach Lions Club as a way to recognise the outstanding work of the local award recipients. The unveiling of the Australia Day Honours Board saw some of the award winners and lions club representatives at the Ninderry office for the official unveiling.
