Coolum Lioness Club Gives Back 20K to Community

The little twilight market held in Tickle Park each summer which is run by the Lioness Club of Coolum Beach is one of the main fundraisers for the community stalwarts and recently the ladies got together for one last time to disburse their funds to worthy community groups. From equine therapy for the disabled to Coolum Boardriders, the Coolum High School Chaplaincy program, Angel Flight, Youngcare, Coolum SES, QIMR Berghofer, Childhood Cancer Research, Flying Doctors and the Lions Youth Insearch program – the community groups and not for profits shared in $20,000 in funds raised by the Lioness Club of Coolum over the past year. The fundraising is a remarkable achievement despite the hardships faced by COVID.
