Despite wet weather, plenty of two- and four-legged locals turned out for the annual Santa Paws fundraiser, which was held at Lake Kawana on Sunday, July 19.

There were lots of wagging tails, festive outfits and community spirit and families and their pets enjoyed a Christmas-themed walk, dog competitions, market stalls, raffles, a silent auction and plenty of food, all in support of Sunshine Coast animal rescue organisation 4Paws.

The popular event raised much-needed funds to help 4Paws continue rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming vulnerable cats and dogs across the Sunshine Coast. Local volunteers, businesses and community leaders all pitched in to support the day, proving once again that even a little rain couldn’t dampen the animal-loving community.
