Noosa fundraiser pours more than $210,000 into helping local families

THE SUNSHINE Coast community has dug deep to support vulnerable children and families, with the inaugural Travis Schultz Noosa Winemakers Lunch raising more than $210,000 for SunnyKids powered by McLure Prestige Luxury Real Estate.
Held as part of the Noosa Concours d’Elegance, the sold-out fundraiser attracted business leaders, wine lovers, car enthusiasts and local supporters, with all proceeds going towards SunnyKids’ work with families experiencing domestic and family violence in the Noosa region.
For families across Coolum, Peregian and Noosa, the organisation provides practical support, crisis assistance and services aimed at helping parents and children rebuild their lives after domestic violence.
SunnyKids CEO Kathleen Hope said the response from the community had been overwhelming.
“Every dollar raised represents hope for children and families experiencing domestic and family violence,” she said.
“The generosity of everyone who attended, donated, bid in the auction or supported the event demonstrates just how much our community cares about helping local families find safety, rebuild their lives and look towards a brighter future.”
Founding partner of Travis Schultz & Partners, Travis Schultz OAM, said the event was created to showcase the best of Noosa while supporting an important local cause.
“To see the community respond so enthusiastically to the inaugural event has been incredibly rewarding,” he said.
“The generosity shown throughout the afternoon exceeded our expectations and demonstrates what can be achieved when businesses and individuals unite behind an important local cause.”

Guests enjoyed a five-hour-long lunch overlooking Hastings Street, with a menu matched to premium Australian wines from Hentley Farm and Mayfield Estate. The afternoon also featured guided wine tastings, live entertainment, fundraising auctions and access to the exclusive Supercar Circle during the Noosa Concours d’Elegance.
Organisers said the event highlighted the willingness of Sunshine Coast businesses and residents to support local families facing hardship, with the funds expected to make a significant difference to children and parents needing help.
Following the success of its first year, organisers hope the Noosa Winemakers Lunch will become an annual fixture on the local events calendar, providing ongoing support for SunnyKids and the vulnerable families it assists across the region.
