INVESTIGATIONS continue following the serious assault of a man in Maroochydore onSaturday morningJanuary17.Just after midnight, two groups of people became involved in an altercation onOceanStreet, with a 21-year-old man punched and knocked to the ground. He was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital and then later airlifted toRoyal Brisbane Hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he remains in intensivecare afterundergoing surgery.
