LiveLife Pharmacy Marks 40 Years of Caring in local region

WITH THEIR unique and vibrant pink and green colours, LiveLife Pharmacy has been in the local community for 40 years this June, and this incredible milestone is cause for a huge celebration.
What started as a single pharmacy in 1986 along the iconic Hastings Street in Noosa has grown into a trusted network of approachable and honest pharmacies across Queensland that pride themselves on great customer service, low prices and heartfelt care and compassion.
LiveLife Pharmacy CEO Clint Coker said he was incredibly grateful for the continued support over the past 40 years.
“From Hastings Street, where it all started, to Coolum and beyond, it’s a privilege to be a part of so many people’s lives.
“The trust our communities place in us means everything. Our longevity wouldn’t have been possible without our pharmacists and teams, whose care, compassion, and commitment help ensure every person who walks through our doors feels supported and leaves feeling better than when they arrived.”
In 1986, Clint and Robert Ranson purchased a small pharmacy in Noosa Heads, guided by a clear and simple philosophy. From the outset, their vision was to build a workplace where people enjoyed coming to work, and customers felt comfortable seeking medical and health advice.
In those early days, the focus was often on treating sunburn, prickly heat and sandfly bites and steadily the business expanded into the ChemCoast Pharmacy Group before evolving into the LiveLife network, which today includes 37 pharmacies across Queensland.
From Mossman and Port Douglas in the north, west to Blackwater, and south to Laidley and Plainland, the network is supported by more than 30 pharmacist business partners.
The growth has been strongly felt in the Coolum and Peregian region. LiveLife Pharmacy Coolum Beach and Coolum Village joined the network in 2002, followed by Peregian Springs in 2008 and Coolum Park in 2012.
Pharmacist at LiveLife Coolum Village , Kelly Gilbert, said it is a “privilege” to be part of the LiveLife group.
“The greatest joy is building genuine connections and being trusted to share in the lives and well-being of local families every day.”
These sentiments were also shared by Coolum Park Retail Manager Ariahn Sultana.
“We feel incredibly proud to have supported our community for 40 years. It’s the relationships we build every day that make what we do so meaningful.”
Over the years, the role of pharmacy has changed significantly. What was once centred on dispensing medications has grown into a broader healthcare offering. Today, LiveLife pharmacists practise at the full scope of their profession, providing services such as vaccinations, blood pressure checks, medication packing, and consultations for many and varied ailments.
With additional training, pharmacists can now assess, diagnose, and prescribe treatment for a range of common conditions, making care more accessible and convenient for the community.
As LiveLife celebrates 40 years, they are also saying “thank you” and to mark the occasion, locals are invited to visit their nearest LiveLife Pharmacy at Coolum Village, Coolum Beach, Coolum Park or Peregian Springs from 10.30 am on June 25 to enjoy cake, share stories and connect with the team.
Happy Birthday LiveLife – here’s to 40 more years!
