THE 2026 Ninderry ALP ‘Light on the Hill Dinner’, which was held on Thursday, April 23, was a raging success, and we are so thankful to those who came along, which made for such a positive night.

A full house in the Surfair Ballroom listened intently and stood to applaud the Connection to Country delivered by Aunty Bev Hand. Powerful words encouraging us to understand our shared history and the times before, and see how we can work together for everyone’s future.

The Hon Milton Dick MP, Speaker of the House of Representatives and a regular supporter of our Ninderry Branch, celebrated the 10th anniversary as well as the foundation members and all that had been achieved since.

Milton shared his passion for civics education and just how much he has been able to share across the country, as well as his work to keep our Federal Parliament in line.

Dinner attendees came from the Gold Coast to Gympie, and Surfair was a fitting tribute to our first 10 of many more years. Labor locals have a lot to contribute, and we will continue to keep the light burning bright for many more years to come.
