MUDJIMBA RSL SUB-BRANCH REMEMBRANCE DAY SERVICE

Remembrance Day on November 11 is a national day to honour those Australians who served and died in armed conflict for Australia during the First and Second World Wars.

Originally called Armistice Day to recognise the sacrifice made by the 416,000 Australians who volunteered for service in WW1 and the more than 60,000 Australians who were killed, it now includes both major global conflicts.

Remembrance Day also recognises the contribution of the nurses who treated the wounded in those conflicts often in the most trying of conditions.

All members of the community are invited to meet at Power Park Mudjimba at 10.30 am for a 10.40 start to commemorate Remembrance Day in 2026.
