IN 2025/2026, Coolum Lions donated over $59,000 to the Coolum community, with local sporting and community groups, as well as Sunshine Coast support services, receiving the financial support.

Examples include:
Coolum State High School – $5,000 to help ensure every student is not disadvantaged due to financial hardship. Coolum Meals on Wheels – $4,000 to purchase new equipment. Coolum SOS Food Mart – $4,647 to provide food, meals, and household supplies to people suffering financial hardship.

On August 12, Coolum Lions donated funds to Sunshine Coast and Coolum Beach Story Dogs. Story Dogs is a reading support program where selected children read to an accredited dog and its handler.

Currently, the group provide Story Dogs and handlers to Coolum State School, Bli Bli State School, Peregian Beach College, Pacific Paradise State School and Maroochydore State School.  The Coolum Lions were delighted to be able to help such a worthwhile group who are making such a positive difference in the lives of young people.
