Free day out for Coolum dog lovers at Noosa’s Dogtopia
DOGGY FASHION, FUN AND OVER $2,000 IN PRIZES!
COOLUM’S dog lovers won’t have to travel far for a day of four-legged fun when A Dog’s Life – Dogtopia 2026 takes over the Noosa River foreshore later this month.
The free community event will be held at Tewantin-Noosa Lions Park, Gympie Terrace, Noosaville, on Saturday, August 29, from 8 am to 1 pm, with dogs and their owners invited to enjoy a morning of entertainment, activities and plenty of treats.
The annual event is expected to attract dog lovers from across the region, and there will be dog-friendly market stalls, games, demonstrations and plenty of opportunities for owners to show off their pooches.
Among the attractions will be the Furry Fashions on the Field, hosted by fashionista and dog lover Carlie Wacker.
Dogs and their handlers can dress to impress, with prizes up for grabs in categories including Best Dressed Pooch and the Mini Me award for the best matching dog and owner outfits.
There are many other fun activities for you and your pooch. Get your pooch “papped” in the Doggy Sidecar or let them live their best life in the Mini Pup Lamborghini.
The event’s charity partner, Sunshine Coast Animal Refuge (SCARS), will also be getting involved with community dog walks at 8.30 am and 10.30 am.
For local dog owners, it is a chance to support the work of an organisation that has helped countless animals across the Sunshine Coast.
There is also a local twist to Noosa’s Cutest Café Dog competition, with entrants encouraged to visit a dog-friendly café anywhere from Kin Kin to Peregian, snap their dog enjoying a puppaccino and post the photo to Instagram.
The competition has a prize pool valued at $1300, including a custom pet portrait, pet photography package, clothing voucher and café voucher. The winner will be announced on the day at 10:30 am.

Those who register for the event are also in the running to win a $1000 prize pack and a year’s supply of dog treats.
Organisers Sunshine Coast Music and Events said the event was about celebrating the bond between people and their pets while bringing the community together.
With the event free to attend, families can simply come along with their furry family member, wander along the river and soak up the “pawsome” atmosphere.
And for anyone still keen to make a day of it, the newly refurbished Noosa Yacht & Rowing Club is nearby, with dog-friendly Round-A-Boats also available on the river.
