Queensland Day is coming – Celebrate our beautiful state!

ON JUNE 6, we celebrate the moment Queensland became its own state and separated from New South Wales, and this year is set to be one big party!

It’s our day to get together and celebrate our state – our way! This year, we’re celebrating everything that makes our state great, and we want everyone to be part of it, because no one celebrates like a Queenslander!

There are many ways you can get involved, such as voting for your favourite business across 15 categories, attending a QLD Day party or nominating a selfless Queenslander for a QLD Day Award.

The state will be glowing maroon with many iconic landmarks across the state proudly displaying the iconic colour of our state. From city centres to regional towns, Queensland’s icons will shine maroon on QLD Day to celebrate. Locally, in our region, the Coolum Civic Centre and City Hall in Maroochydore will be lit up.

Find out how to get involved by searching for  ‘Queensland Day’ or visit qldday.initiatives.qld.gov.au.
