LOCAL artist Ro Clark is inviting the local art-loving community to experience her latest exhibition in Galley Lane (beside Yum Gelato, Coolum), featuring atmospheric acrylic landscapes inspired by the beauty of loss, regeneration and the ever-changing Australian coastline.

Currently on display until June 8, the exhibition of Ro Clark’s work is displayed within the windows which flank the little lane way and offers an accessible way for visitors to take in the art at any time of the day.

The little laneway, which starts at the bottom of the Frank St carpark, has featured numerous exhibitions over the past 18 months and is fast becoming a drawcard for art lovers from across the Sunshine Coast.

A Sunshine Coast artist working from her home studio in Alexandra Headland, Clark’s work is deeply informed by personal transformation and connection to place. Living with paraplegia following spinal cord injury, she creates paintings that reflect both fragility and strength, offering viewers moments of reflection and connection.

“I want people to connect with the beauty in the imperfection, vulnerability and change of the Australian environment, and to recognise that same beauty exists in us too,” Clark said.

The exhibition offers collectors and art lovers an opportunity to view and purchase original works while engaging with an artist whose practice brings authenticity, emotional depth and a distinctly local perspective to contemporary landscape painting.
