ONE OF Australia’s most recognised high-performance beach breaks, North Narrabeen in New South Wales, was the stage for two big events recently, with local Coolum girl Brisa Canina taking out the top spot in the ‘Surfboard Empire Pro Junior Ripper’ Under 18 Girls event.

“Wow, feels unreal to win the North Narrabeen Ripper event,” Brisa excitedly said.

“Waves were cooking all week… thank you to Surfing NSW for an amazing setup and all the sponsors for helping. So grateful.”

On the last day of competition, the Under 18 Girls final came down to the final moments, with Brisa Canina finding a 5.93 to move into first, edging out Alice Hodgson and bringing her winning run to a close.
