THERE’S a new place to shop for unique clothes, jewellery, accessories and homewares in Coolum, with ‘Billy St’ officially opening their doors on Thursday, October 8, and the opening was cause for celebration.

Located on Birtwill St in Coolum, the shop is run by two local women – Adele and Lisa, who are showcasing local designers and products as much as possible.

Located in the space that used to be known as ‘Nomadi’, the ladies worked with the previous owner and then decided to take a leap of faith and open their own shop in the space and go out on their own.

No fast fashion – Billy St stocks quality and well-made pieces which cater to all ages and budgets.

“This is basically all our fashion labels that we love and we also want to support local as much as possible,” Lisa said.

“There are so many talented people around here, and it’s really important for us to have a beautiful space in Coolum, because there aren’t any others where people can come and buy something different.”
